Series A, Saturday, 25.05.2024
Just because the championship has already been decided does not mean that the program of verified providers with a valid sports betting license no longer has any interesting betting offers.
In my Juventus Monza betting tip, I will show you why the bookmakers are all on the wrong track. To give Juve such low odds as favorites on the last matchday is almost an absurdity
For most clubs that are not at either end of the table, experience has shown that at the very end of the season there is nothing left to play for. This is particularly true for Juventus and Monza.
At the same time, this 38th Serie A matchday pairing offers experienced sports betting fans an excellent opportunity to place a profitable Bet365 sports bet.
The bookmaking giant favors the “Old Lady” almost as if they could become champions with a win on Saturday. I don’t expect Juventus to have saved their best performance of the season for the last matchday of all days
It’s a fact that Juventus haven’t won any of their last six Serie A games since mid-April (6 draws).
And these have included draws against clubs that cannot be mentioned in the same breath as Monza in terms of their performance.
Juventus really didn’t make a good impression in their 2-2 draw against promoted Cagliari and 1-1 draw against bottom club Salernitana in the middle of the month – and the numbers don’t lie either
Juventus have picked up just 22 points in 18 games so far since the start of the second half of the season, an average of 1.22 points per match.
The shocking thing? It’s a tick higher than the average during the disastrous second half of the 2009/10 Serie A season, when it was just 1.16. That was also the last time since then that the second-round yield was so low.
Consequently, I can’t begin to understand why every sports betting app worthy of our trust is showing Juventus win odds of just 1.35. I’m certainly not saying yes to that on my betting slip!
Monza are by no means a walk-in side who have just paid a brief visit to drop three points at the Allianz Stadium.
Especially as the “Biancorossi” even won their last Serie A away game against Juventus in January 2023.
Of course, this doesn’t happen every day, but with Juve players completely discouraged, I’m not saying no to the current double chance X2 odds of 3.40 on Saturday
In addition, there are many indications that the first half will be uneventful, with neither side wanting to take too many risks – least of all the home side.
After all, Juventus have scored just two goals before half-time in their last 11 Serie A games.
No wonder I’ve marked the odds of around 3.40 from Interwetten for a 0-0 at the break in red pen on my notepad
Of course, it’s no secret that Monza haven’t won a game since April. With the exception of the 2:4 against Napoli, however, there have only been narrow defeats with a maximum of one goal difference.
Even absolute top teams like Atalanta and Fiorentina had to toil hard in their respective 2:1 victories over the Biancorossi
With the huge odds differential between the two teams on the betting markets this Saturday, it’s worth considering a “Monza win with handicap +2” bet.
The corresponding odds of around 1.91 certainly convince me.
Incidentally, Milan Djuric has scored a total of three goals for ACM in his last three Serie A appearances, making him the player Juventus need to watch out for the most
Conclusion: For Juventus, there is nothing left to lower the intensity. This gives Monza the opportunity to spring a surprise.
Both teams have also not scored many goals before the break in recent weeks, which could suggest a low-scoring first half. Juventus may also want to rest some regular players.
So the bookmakers have completely misjudged the situation, because I don’t believe for a second that a home win should be as self-evident as they would like us to believe with reference to the current Juventus Monza odds.
My Juventus Monza betting tip is therefore: Double chance X2
