Rybakina – Svitolina betting tip Wimbledon 10.07.2024

Wimbledon, quarter-finals, Wednesday, 10.07.2024, 16:30

The world’s best is already out – but that makes the decision about the title even more exciting! The women have reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon 2024, so the duels are getting more and more prestigious every time.

The 2022 winner will play against an opponent who should not be underestimated on Wednesday. Why is she still the favorite, but why do I expect the underdog to win the set? I’ll reveal all that in my Rybakina Svitolina prediction

It was her biggest career moment, one of the goals that every player has when she starts swinging a tennis racket. Yelena Rybakina won the Wimbledon tournament two years ago.

She has yet to win another major, so she will be all the more motivated to impress again in London. Last year, she failed to reach the quarter-finals here, and it is precisely this round that is now up for grabs.

Interesting: This year, she has never made it past the quarter-finals when she has competed on the big stage. So far at Wimbledon, she has shown light and shade and is not quite sure which style she should follow.

She got off to a quick 6-3, 6-1 start against Elena Ruse, but then had to fight harder than we had expected before the duel in her 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 defeat of Laura Siegemund

The manner in which Rybakina prevailed 6-1, 6-0 against Caroline Wozniacki a little later was all the more impressive. The round of 16 against Anna Kalinskaya? That was another easy match for her.

Her opponent retired at 6-3, 3-0, so the Russian, who was playing for Kazakhstan, was able to save herself a few points. She conceded five breaks in the entire tournament, which is of course a really strong figure.

Points won on the first serve? Rybakina is at over 80 percent here! At 1.84m, she serves excellently, which in turn poses an extreme challenge for all her opponents.

Elina Svitolina also knows how difficult it is to hold her own against Rybakina. The two players only met at the French Open this year, with the Russian winning the match 6-4, 6-3

In the direct comparison, however, the total is 2:2, even though only this one match has taken place in the last three years. The bookmakers are therefore more likely to be guided by the current statistics of both players.

The odds therefore come to an average of 1.30 to 3.40 and see Rybakina ahead. What does Elina Svitolina have to say against this? The Ukrainian reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon exactly one year ago and is determined to repeat the feat.

After getting off to a rather mixed start this year (7-5, 6-7, 6-3 against Magda Linette), she slowly started to find her feet and lo and behold, she hasn’t dropped a set since this first round!

Svitolina beat Jule Niemeier 6-3, 6-4, then caused a surprise when she took top player Ons Jabeur out of the tournament with a 6-1, 7-6. There was no getting past her in the round of 16 either.

She won 6-2, 6-1 against Wang Xinyu, so it’s definitely not a bad idea to progress quickly and save some energy before a clash with Yelena Rybakina.

So has the one appearance in Bad Homburg been forgotten? Svitolina had lost to Wozniacki in three sets at the only preparatory tournament on grass – and Rybakina had won so clearly against her just a few days ago!

My Rybakina Svitolina tip

Yelena Rybakina is the favorite in the duel with Elina Svitolina – I can understand that after my analysis. So if you want to place tennis bets outside of the European Championship semi-finals, you could simply bet on the Russian.

But that’s a bit too easy for me. Svitolina is performing really well at Wimbledon, and Ons Jabeur hasn’t won a single set against her either. And that’s exactly why I’m opting for the following bet:

Svitolina wins at least one set against Rybakina!
