US Open tips today – Matches today from 05.09.
.. and there were only 4 left! The US Open in New York is heading into the final matches before the new champions are crowned this weekend. We now take a closer look at the women’s competition.
Well, in detail, that’s a bit of a misnomer in this case, of course, as there are only two matches left. Our US Open tips therefore focus on the two semi-finals, which have a somewhat surprising line-up
Iga Swiatek is no longer involved, that’s the big surprise. Instead, her great rival Aryna Sabalenka is going for the crown. And what’s particularly nice for the spectators: an American woman is involved in both matches!
So there should be a lot going on in the Big Apple, so I’ll give you a quick run-down of what we can (probably) expect from the four top stars on Friday night!

Aryna Sabalenka traveled to New York as the big favorite right from the start. She easily played her way into the semi-finals, where she would like to progress against Emma Navarro without too much effort.
In the second match, Jessica Pegula is reaching for the stars. The US American sent Iga Swiatek home with ease and will now be hoping to repeat the feat against Karolina Muchova

For Aryna Sabalenka, the tournament in New York has gone according to plan so far. She has only dropped one set in her 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 defeat to Ekaterina Alexandrova, and most recently she thrashed Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng 6-1, 6-2 without conceding a break. So with odds of 1.18 to 4.30 against Emma Navarro, what could possibly go wrong?
Sabalenka lost to the American in Indian Wells, but won the French Open. Navarro has prevailed against Coco Gauff and Paula Badosa in recent rounds and has also only lost two sets at this Major.

US Open tonight from 05. to 06.09.: Jessica Pegula – Karolina Muchova (02:15)
How did she manage that! Jessica Pegula celebrated a 6-2, 6-4 win over Iga Swiatek, the world No. 1, a few days ago. She only conceded a single break and is now in the semi-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time ever. And Karolina Muchova? The world number 52 has been this far ahead three times, but she only reached the final in Paris in 2023.
For the clash with Pegula, she is behind with odds of 2.35 to 1.55 at NeoBet, but: she hasn’t even dropped a set in New York yet! Muchova also easily dispatched Jasmine Paolini and Beatrix Haddad Maia.
