NFL 2024/25: Lions – Seahawks
After we were treated to plenty of thrilling football games at the weekend, the matchday is far from over.

Detroit is now making far fewer mistakes than at the start of the season, so they will no longer be as hospitable as they were against the Buccaneers two weeks ago.
You might be asking yourself: Who has the advantage here? Sure, Seattle has one of the best defenses when it comes to defending against the pass – only allowing 4.7 yards per throw.
But the Lions have a weapon with their running back combination that will really challenge Seattle on the ground for the first time. So while that number reads quite nice at first glance, it will be “trampled” tonight.
Detroit will try to build on their 20-13 win over the Cardinals last time out. After this game, the Lions will travel to Texas, where a highlight duel against the powerful Dallas Cowboys awaits them.
So it makes a lot of sense for head coach Dan Campbell to really want to win the game against the supposedly weaker Seahawks at all costs in order to get a valuable “W” that his team was denied in the first two weeks of play.
I’m clearly with the Lions here. I understand why the Seahawks seem enticing at first glance, seeing an undefeated 3-0 team in the standings certainly makes you secretly applaud inside at first.
But for me, Seattle is a bit of a cheat, at least when you look at who the Seahawks have played so far – half a dozen NFL teams would probably have been victorious as well.
The Lions, on the other hand, have a strong offensive line and, in my opinion, an underrated defense that seems to have finally found itself after the win over Arizona.
