In Italy, there is no such thing as a “winter break”! Here, matches are played without mercy, much to the delight of the fans and my betting buddies. This also gives us the opportunity to apply great odds boosts over New Year, which are also available to you!
In my AC Milan Genoa betting tip, meanwhile, I expect a nail-biting victory for the Milanese. They may beat the “Grifoni” – if at all – with a similar result as they did Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League last Wednesday.
What did I tell you in my successful AC Milan Red Star Belgrade betting tip during the week?
These Milanese just can’t be trusted. At times after half-time, it even looked as if the Serbs could completely take control of the game.
It’s only thanks to a strong final phase and the individual class of Leão and Abraham that the “Rossoneri” just managed to win 2-1 – a game they actually had to dominate.
Because the home win rate last Wednesday was even lower than the one on Sunday against Genoa, with an average of 1.25 compared to 1.35 here.
And yet I have my doubts that Milan will win as clearly as the betting providers without tax expect. The “Grifoni” are now really well-rehearsed and have not lost any of their last five Serie A games (2 wins, 3 draws).
This should be enough to avoid relegation, especially since they have only played teams from the bottom half of the table during this period – Parma, Como, Cagliari, Udinese and Torino.
Patrick Vieira’s team were able to collect several big points here and will now face Milan without much pressure.

On top of that, the Ligurians challenged the reigning vice-champions in both league games last season. Both in the first half of the season (0-1) and especially in the wild second half of the season (3-3), Genoa showed that they can definitely stand up to Milan.
Of course, players like Gudmundsson and Retegui were poached by big teams like Fiorentina and Atalanta over the summer. But coach Vieira has managed to form a strong team with the players that remained.
In addition, Johan Vasquez, who was recently suspended, is returning, which should further stabilize the defense compared to the game against Turin.
All this tempts me to make a special AC Milan Genoa tip: half-time/final score X/1 – the risk-reward ratio here is extremely good at odds of around 4.00. Why?
Genoa could actually cause Milan problems in the first half, because the “Grifoni” were only five of 15 Serie A games behind at half-time.
On the other hand, Genoa is the team that, after Venice (5), most often lost after a “half-time draw/defeat” (4).
Injury problems and a weak bench since the start of the season are making themselves felt here, so I strongly suspect that the Genoese will lose again after the break on Sunday at the latest.
Besides, I have to be honest with you: if I had to choose between the home win odds and Genoa winning with a handicap of +3, I would clearly go for the latter option.
The odds are almost identical and with a handicap like that, Genoa would have “won” 27 of the last 28 direct duels against Milan. It is precisely this aspect that makes this offer so special!
In general, you shouldn’t expect too much from the Milan attack, as they will probably struggle again next Sunday to break down the “Grifoni” defense.
In their last 27 Serie A duels against Genoa, they have only managed to score more than two goals twice.
So it’s no surprise that the betting offer “AC under 2.5 goals” at odds of 1.55 is also of great interest to me.

Conclusion: It will probably be a tough game, as Milan have trouble beating opponents who are low on the table. The first goal could be a long time coming. The “Rossoneri” should hope for their final phase again when Genoa, as is so often the case, slacks off after the break.
Nevertheless, the underdog should remain largely stable defensively, making a goal festival unlikely. These factors justify the more defensive approach in a low-scoring encounter.
My AC Milan Genoa prediction is Double Chance 1X & Under 3.5 Goals.
