The 79-year-old coaching legend Mircea Lucescu is the new coach of the Romanian national team. He succeeds Eduard Iordanescu, whose contract expired after the European Championships. This is Lucescu’s second time as coach of Romania. His first tenure lasted five years, 38 years ago, and he previously held the post from 1981 to 1986.
