Maxim Burghardt will continue to pull on the jersey of FC Erzgebirge Aue in the coming season. After recovering from a cruciate ligament injury, the 21-year-old right-back recently collected his first minutes after a year. “We are pleased that Maxim is now fully fit again after more than a year out injured. He looks back on a very difficult time with a cruciate ligament rupture, complications after the operation and the loss of his father. Maxim Burghardt is a mentality player who we were able to show a worthwhile perspective and thus also give him planning security on the way back to his old strength,” explains squad planner Steffen Ziffert.
