About two weeks before the start of the Premier League, Newcastle United has unveiled its new coach: Matthias Jaissle succeeds Eddie Howe, who left the club last week after five years. The 38-year-old German comes from Saudi club Al-Ahli, with whom he won the Asian Champions League in 2025 and 2026. Jaissle is the tenth German coach in the Premier League.
