A large gap between the leaders and their rivals, a very tight field between second and fourth place – Atletico Madrid have secured the Champions League, but not the final place!
The Colchoneros will play their last home game of the season on Sunday, with their favorite opponents making the trip. In short: The bookmakers see the home side clearly ahead and that’s exactly why I’m now revealing in my Atletico Madrid Osasuna betting tip why I’m even backing the favorites to win
Not a bad season, but if the city rivals don’t make any mistakes, the title fight won’t happen! Atletico Madrid will finish somewhere between second and fourth, which was the minimum target.
The Colchoneros have always had their slip-ups, but that wasn’t the case with Real. For the first time since the fall, the team has been as consistent as they would have liked more often than not
The team has won four times in a row, with six victories from the last seven games. It has also become clear in recent weeks that whenever you think there can’t be a slip-up, there has been one after all.
0:2 against Alaves or Cadiz, plus a 2:2 against bottom side Almeria are just a few of the results. But what usually works out well is a home game, where very little goes wrong.
Only champions Real have collected one point less at home, while Atletico have 16 wins, one draw and one defeat against Barcelona. If there is anything to criticize, it is perhaps that there have only been three home games without conceding a goal in 2024
Sometimes they win 5:0, then 1:0, but a 3:1 is also possible. How do the majority of wins turn out, clearly or rather narrowly? Nine of them had a one-goal lead, nine more – so there’s no tendency to deduce!
But nothing can really go wrong on Sunday anyway, because if there’s one team Atletico like to play against, it’s undoubtedly Osasuna.
Eleven wins in a row, 15 from the last 16 duels, one defeat since 2009?
That’s really something to be proud of! Only two goals have been conceded in these eleven victories, meaning Atletico have won nine times to nil.
The last time they lost a home game against Osasuna was in April 2009, so I’m not surprised by our bookmakers’ odds
Atletico go into the game with average odds of 1.40 to 7.50, although it must be added that there is not much at stake for either team.
Atletico have secured the CL, so the only thing left to decide is whether it will be second, third or fourth place
Osasuna are in mid-table and have 41 points to their name. The team has already lost 17 times and is currently winless in six games. After four defeats, they have drawn twice in a row, with Bilbao and Mallorca as their opponents.
It is definitely interesting to note that Osasuna have won eleven games, nine of them without conceding a goal. Did they also win against top teams? There was one win against Real Sociedad in February, but that’s it when we look at the top 7
Since the first of October, they have scored three times away from home exactly twice, but all in all the statistics don’t really differ according to the venue. 0:4 at Real Madrid, 0:1 at Barca and 0:2 in Girona?
They lost three times at the best clubs in LaLiga and never posed any attacking threat. The attack therefore remains pale again and again, which of course fits in wonderfully with what we have already been able to find out in the direct comparison
Atletico Madrid want to win their last home game of the season, which is exactly what they usually do at home. 16 of the 18 games have ended in victory, and Osasuna are an absolute favorite opponent.
The Colchoneros have gone from victory to victory for years, the majority of which have not even included goals conceded. Defensively, not everything has worked out this season, but things are currently going quite well in this respect.
Since Osasuna are in the lower midfield and are really not among the best in attack, I have decided to see the home side clearly ahead and bet on them:
Atletico win to zero against Osasuna
