Vienna Austria continues to rely on Abubakr Barry. The Austrian Bundesliga club exercised the option for the midfielder from Gambia and thus extended the contract, which originally expired in the summer, by another year. The 25-year-old, who was brought in from Israeli second division club Bnei Yehuda in the summer of 2024, is a key player in coach Stephan Helm’s team and has scored four goals and provided three assists in 22 Bundesliga games.
