Atletico Madrid – Osasuna betting tip, prediction & odds 12/01/2025

La Liga, Sunday, 12/01/2025 at 4:15 pm

Someone is emerging as the number one favorite in our La Liga master bets! Atletico Madrid is currently the best team in the country and even defeated their nemesis Barcelona at the end of 2024.

Now, of course, the Colchoneros want to start the new year successfully too. The opposition, however, have only managed one away win. The betting prediction in my Atletico Madrid v Osasuna tip is therefore an easy one, as I predict that the home side will take an early lead and then pull away!

Seizing the moment while two competitors are struggling! Atletico Madrid want to have a serious say in the 2024/25 league title, not leaving the decision to Real and Barca.

And lo and behold, as soon as these two clubs make a mistake, the fierce Colchoneros are there. They have won their last seven games, including a 2-1 win over FC Barcelona, whom they had not beaten in forever.

When you’re on a roll, you’re on a roll, no matter who you’re playing. Four of the seven victories were clean sheets, but Atletico also scored a wild 4-3 win against Sevilla and showed a completely different side here.

The winning goal against Barca came in injury time – no surprise! Let’s take a closer look at Simeone’s team’s results and we’ll quickly see that goals like this are not exactly rare.

If we add the exact minute of the game, 90, it has rung a whopping NINE times in the said period! So, Atletico likes to strike when the opponent is no longer expecting it. There have been some comeback victories like this before.

The Madrilenians scored nine goals in the first half, 24 in the second – what a difference. In four of the last nine games, they were still behind at half-time, but still managed to win in the end.

Facts upon facts, betting options upon betting options! For example, if you are very willing to take risks, you can say: Atletico will win the game after being behind. At Betano, the odds are correspondingly high, at a really high 7.20.

At the same time, after successfully registering with Oddet, you can bet on Osasuna scoring the first goal of the game. With odds of 4.20, this tip also pays off!

And THEN you should definitely keep an eye on the bet “More goals in half time 2”, for which Oddset is offering odds of 1.93. Because these Colchoneros don’t stop playing until the team bus leaves the yard.

With seven wins and two draws, they are doing wonderfully well in their own stadium anyway, and their six goals conceded is the best defensive record. But the fans will not have forgotten one thing: the last home game against Osasuna ended 1-4!

Admittedly, it was match day 37, so it seems the stars were already thinking about their vacations. Before that, they had won 11 games in a row, keeping a clean sheet in nine of them.

Osasuna therefore falls into the category of my favorite opponents, and with average odds of 1.30 to 11.0, our bookmakers apparently see it quite similarly.

It won’t just be the history that has led the bookies to these values. Osasuna, based in Pamplona, is tenth and has won six times – Atletico has won more often in the last seven rounds.

The big problem for the Rojillos: as soon as they travel, not much works out. They have only won once away from home, when they beat Real Sociedad 2-0 at the end of October.

But: at least the team has already fought for a draw four times. If they lose away from home, it’s with at least three goals against. 1:3, 0:4, 0:4, it can also end really badly. This is also because the offense hardly achieves anything.

A measly five goals have been scored away from home, with four of them not scoring at all. The team has not won in six games, and they would rather not be reminded of the 4-0 defeat at Real in the capital.

With Ante Budimir, they actually have a man who scores goals, having netted ten times. He has scored three times away from home, meaning he has scored more than 50% of all goals.

It’s really fun to be a fan of Atletico Madrid right now – or to watch the games from a neutral perspective! The Colchoneros are in the lead in the table, and luck is on their side.

I quickly recognized the many very late goals, the added time is definitely Atletico’s friend. And Osasuna? The club from Pamplona is very welcome in the Metropolitano, and they also have an away weakness.

For the reasons mentioned, I have therefore decided that the favorite is clearly in the lead. An unchallenged march by the front-runner seems obvious to me here, which is why I am betting:

Atletico leads at half-time – and wins
