ATP season finale: groups & mode
The mode: The top eight players or doubles duos of this year will be drawn into two groups of four.
Within the groups, each player plays once against each other player (round robin mode). The top two players/teams from each group advance to the semi-finals. The semi-final winners then meet in the final for the tournament victory.
All singles matches are played in a best-of-three mode, while a doubles match lasts only two sets. If the score is 1-1 in sets, a match tiebreak then decides victory or defeat.
