Central defender Elias Bakatukanda will play for Blau-Weiß Linz on loan at least until the end of the season – the plan is to extend the loan until 2026. FC coach Gerhard Struber had recently suggested a loan to the 20-year-old; Bakatukanda is now expected to get more playing time than the 37 minutes he has played in this second division season at the Austrian first division club. Bakatukanda’s contract in Cologne has also been extended until the summer of 2028.
