FC Bayern is looking forward to an eventful summer schedule in 2025 with the Club World Cup, Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup and friendly matches.

Bayern summer schedule: friendly matches & dates for 2025
FCB training starts on June 5
As FC Bayern will be participating in the inaugural Club World Cup in the USA from June 14 to July 14, the dates for Bayern’s 2025 summer schedule will be slightly different than usual.
This is because Bayern Munich’s training start has already been set for June 5. This leaves just two and a half weeks of vacation since the championship celebrations on Marienplatz.
However, the start of training in Bayern’s 2025 summer schedule only affects the few players who are not playing for their countries in the Nations League Final Four or the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Club World Cup as the focal point of Bayern’s 2025 summer schedule
FC Bayern is one of the 32 participants in the 2025 Club World Cup in the USA. The FCB will fly to the United States on June 10, where the team will be based in Orlando.
Three Club World Cup dates have already been set in advance, as the tournament co-favorites are guaranteed to play these three preliminary round matches.
The German record champions will kick off the Club World Cup against Auckland City from New Zealand (June 15, 6 p.m. CEST). The opening match will take place at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati.
The FCB then looks forward to a reunion with Argentina’s cult club Boca Juniors in its second group match (June 21, 3:00 a.m. CEST) at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
The preliminary round concludes with a Champions League-worthy clash with Benfica Lisbon (June 24, 9 p.m. CEST) at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
If Bayern reaches the round of 16 in the Club World Cup, the first match of the knockout stage will be on June 28 (Group C, Matchday 1) or June 29 (Group C, Matchday 2). A possible quarterfinal would take place on July 5.

Bayern summer schedule for 2025: No training camp for the champions
The return journey from the USA and the start of preparations for the 2025/26 season will of course depend primarily on the FCB’s performance in the Club World Cup.
What is clear is that there will once again be a break from training, at least for a short time, after the tournament before preparations for the next season begin.
Incidentally, no training camp has been scheduled for Bayern’s 2025 summer schedule so far. It is quite possible that, as in recent years, the club will decide against a long trip in the summer of 2025.
One possible destination is once again Lake Tegernsee. The most likely time would be after the first friendly match.
Bayern’s friendly matches in the 2025 summer preparations
Bayern’s first friendly matches after the Club World Cup have already been scheduled. At least two – very different – matches are already on the schedule.
This year’s Telekom Cup will take place on Thursday, August 7. The opponent is Harry Kane’s former club, Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur.
The game will take place in Munich and will also serve as the season opener at the Allianz Arena.
Another friendly match is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2025. Bayern will travel to Austria one day after the start of the Bundesliga season.
There, the popular dream match will take place, in which a fan club gets to play against the record champions. This year, the Red Eagles Austria were chosen.
Bayern dates: When are the first competitive games?
The first competitive game of the new season for FC Bayern will take place on Saturday, August 16. The Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup of the DFL is on the schedule.
In this match, German champions Bayern Munich will face DFB Cup winners VfB Stuttgart. Kick-off is at 8:30 p.m.
The Bundesliga season kicks off a week later. Bayern will open the season as champions on Friday, August 22, at 8:30 p.m. Their opponent has not yet been determined.
