Shortly before the Europa League opener on Wednesday, Bayer Leverkusen’s Slovenian opponents NK Celje parted ways with their Portuguese coach Vitor Campelos. The 51-year-old had only been working in Celje since March 2026. His already named successor is the 46-year-old Slovenian Zoran Zeljkovic and comes from Slovenian first division club FC Koper. He will take his place on the bench in Leverkusen on Wednesday evening.
