Brighton – Liverpool Tip, Prediction & Odds 19.05.2025

Premier League, Monday, 19.05.2025 at 21:00

Liverpool FC has two games left to play – their opponents have nothing left to play for. Why is this so important at the start of my betting analysis? Quite simply because it means that the English champions cannot be accused of any possible distortion of competition.

The Reds have already celebrated extensively and will travel to the coast on Monday. In my Brighton vs. Liverpool prediction, I’m betting on a lively game with plenty of offense, so I’m going for the “Both teams to score & Over 2.5 goals” bet combination.

Several teams are battling it out for international places – and Liverpool FC are watching the action with great relish. The Reds have already celebrated their championship title extensively, so they can enjoy the season finale in a relaxed manner.

And lo and behold: their comfortable position is already making itself felt in the results. First they lost 1-3 to Chelsea, then drew 2-2 with Arsenal. Difficult opponents, sure, but the players’ lack of concentration was already noticeable.

Mo Salah is also not quite exuding the brilliance of his successful months. One goal in his last seven games? We know better from the Egyptian, who previously scored 27 times in 28 games.

The striker has already scored ten goals against their upcoming opponents from Brighton, so despite the mini-crisis, a goal bet is definitely worth considering for Monday. At least if you’re happy with odds of 1.90 at Betano.

With two wins from their last six games, their recent away form has been mediocre, but it’s interesting to note that eight of their eleven wins have been clean sheets.

What’s interesting in this context is that in twelve of their last 13 games against Brighton, the Reds have NOT kept a clean sheet. In this case, I’ll take a look at the odds for the game.

2.50 to 2.60 from Liverpool’s perspective? There doesn’t seem to be a clear favorite! An understandable assessment from our PayPal bookmakers, as both teams are playing without pressure.

In four of their last six away games, perhaps a nice, important fact for you, the Reds conceded a goal in the first half. In that respect, there could be an interesting bet for you here.

If you think Brighton will score a goal in the first half, you can secure odds of 1.78. In the first half of the season, Liverpool won the match 2-1, with Gakpo and Salah scoring after falling behind.

It was their third win in a row, after Brighton had previously been a bit of a bogey team: only one of their eight games had gone to the Reds. Overall, we count several close matches in which the Seagulls were by no means inferior.

In the Premier League, only one of the last four games in Brighton has been won. There’s no question that this is a clash between two teams that have already delivered some crazy exchanges, which is reflected in the almost identical odds on Monday.

Brighton are mid-table, with international places too far away. Three defeats from their last twelve games is quite respectable, but at the same time they have won only two of their last eight.

There are also some interesting statistics at home. They have lost only three times, but there have been eight draws. In 2025, which does not reflect well on the defense, they have only kept one clean sheet at home.

Only three times has the score been 0-0 after the first 45 minutes, so goals are not hard to come by at Falmer Stadium. Since the beginning of February, regardless of the venue, Brighton has only gone into the break trailing once.

However, the “Double Chance 1X” only offers odds of 1.40. At the same time, the Seagulls have conceded at least two goals in three of their last four home games.

How will the Reds perform on Monday, full of motivation and passion or with the brakes on? The champions have struggled recently, letting victory slip twice.

On the other hand, Brighton are a team with nothing left to play for this season. As such, I can well imagine that their defense will not be at its best.

Since the last direct encounters have been anything but boring, I think a dull game on Monday is out of the question. Liverpool have conceded five goals in their last two games, which is why I’m ultimately going for:

Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score!
