Just don’t fall out of the extended chasing pack! Chelsea FC are on the decline, if you look at the Premier League master bets, you will see that the Blues no longer play a role here.
Maybe they can start a new streak on Monday, the opponent is not exactly riding a wave of success either. In my Chelsea West Ham betting tip, I’ll tell you why I can’t really find a favorite and therefore bet on “both teams to score” – the odds of 1.60 are best picked up at Betano!
Admittedly, no one could really have imagined that Chelsea FC would actually be a contender for the championship in 2024/25. But there was a phase when the Blues hinted that with a little more consistency, they could be up there for a long time!
In the end, only the very best fight for the title. Or as they say in football: The Super Bowl is waiting again! Before on December 9th, the
Just before Christmas, however, the scaffolding collapsed again, but in London they are still ready for the very best seats (at least when they are wearing blue). But since third place is not far away, the Champions League is still within reach.
One of the last seven games was won, and the 3-1 win against Wolverhampton was also against an opponent who is very far back. But Chelsea also failed to beat some other teams in the relegation battle.
0:0 against Everton, 0:2 against Ipswich, 1:1 against Crystal Palace (although the Eagles are a few points ahead of the critical ranks)? These results were hard to explain, given that the offense had been so strong in the fall.
The current crisis is not really due to weak first halves. Three draws, three times taking the lead, only once falling behind? Somehow Chelsea often mess up after half-time.
Against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, half-time leads did not hold and there were only draws, and against Fulham, the 1-0 lead was even squandered. In ten of their last twelve games, the Londoners have scored before half-time, and in five of their last five, they have scored just the one goal.
In this respect, you can of course bet on Chelsea being successful in the first half on Monday as well. After registering with Betano, you will receive odds of 1.44 for this. Too low? Understandable! It is therefore also possible to bet on exactly one goal.
A quote of 2.47 sounds more like a reasonable value. Unfortunately, the Blues are not exactly what you would call an absolute home power. They have won five of 11 games, which is not even a win rate of 50 percent.
White vests in their own stadium? Only one, collected in a 3-0 win over Aston Villa. No own goals at home? Chelsea only managed that once, in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the first matchday.
The fans have particularly fond memories of the first half of the season, when their team won 3-0 against West Ham. Three wins in a row against West Ham? That was last in 2010/11!
Chelsea will have to work hard to follow up the 5-0 and 3-0 wins with another three points. The fact that they have won five of their last six home games is certainly encouraging.
With average odds of 1.35 to 7.10, the Blues are clearly favored in any case. West Ham are currently languishing somewhere in the lower midfield, having expected significantly more.
They have only won seven of 23 games, and have never won back-to-back games. But: it only happened once between rounds three and six that the team failed to score three times in a row.
What does that mean? Quite simply, West Ham recently lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace and played 1-1 against Aston Villa, so according to the rule of recent months, a win should now follow again!
Southampton, Everton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are the four opponents against whom the Hammers kept a clean sheet. But they have only scored a single own goal in a game against Nottingham’s top club.
For five away games, it has always been exactly one. So quickly to Interwetten to see: If West Ham scores exactly one goal at Stamford Bridge, no matter when, odds of 2.45 await you – and a lucrative free bet is also waiting for you here!
Chelsea FC has to decide: Do they want to play for the Champions League or slowly but surely drift towards midfield! The Blues are no longer in form, especially weaker teams are suddenly too strong.
Defensively, there are also some issues that urgently need to be addressed. It’s a good thing that West Ham can’t exactly be described as superior either and also has problems in terms of defensive work.
So when two teams meet that both concede too many goals and (currently) don’t win often, my tip can only be:
Score both times!
