Conor McGregor had already announced this himself on December 31st on his X-Channel (formerly Twitter):
“Ladies and gentlemen, Happy New Year to you all,” McGregor said. “I would like to announce the date for my return, the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor, the greatest comeback of all time will be in Las Vegas for International Fight Week, June 29th… and the opponent, Michael Chandler. And the weight, Mr. Chandler, 185 pounds.”
On June 14, during the UC 300 press conference, UFC President Dana White himself announced the McGregor comeback in 2024.
