Thomas Müller’s contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps expires at the end of the year – and then? “I’m thinking about a lot of things, but right now I’m fully focused on the upcoming games,” said the 37-year-old at a media round of his Canadian MLS team. “Let’s see what my body tells me in the next few weeks, and then we’ll see. There’s a lot going on, and I don’t have a concrete answer here.” Müller moved to North America in the summer of 2025 after 25 years at FC Bayern, winning the Canadian Cup with the Whitecaps last season and only losing to Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami in the MLS Cup final. It’s “always about the private situation, the contract, the city we live in, the perspective of the team and the availability, i.e. the body,” Müller said. For his decision, “the whole package is enormously important. I feel very comfortable here, have fun with the team. We’ll wait and see the rest.”
