After the 3:1 win against Georgia in the opener, where the third, decisive goal was scored deep into stoppage time, they faced Portugal. It was said to be a test, but in the end it was more than that
The Portuguese were the stronger team right from the start, and then Turkey made a very bad mistake in defense. A back pass got completely out of control and they were unable to recover from going 2-0 down.

It’s definitely not easy to decide on the 1×2 bets. Since both lack a bit of nerve and the Czech Republic actually has to win, I’m not letting anyone win and am leaning towards a draw.

Czech Republic must take more risks
And now the Czech Republic, a draw would be enough to secure second place and a place in the last 16 of the European Championship. This is the third time that the two nations have faced each other at a European Championship.
In 2008 and 2016, also in the group stage, the Turks won, prevailing 3:2 and 2:0 respectively. They also won in 2022, the last time they faced each other, 2:1. Three wins in a row, that’s encouraging!
Less than two goals have never been scored in this pairing, with at least one team scoring at least twice. In six of the last eight matches, it was the Turks who surpassed the 1.5 mark

Of course, the Czechs know that only a win can save them. At least as far as second place and direct qualification for the round of 16 is concerned. The preparation for this European Championship was strong, but the current tournament is no longer necessarily so.
