What had been suspected for a few days has now been made official by FC Barcelona: With captain Marc-André ter Stegen out for the rest of the season with a torn patella tendon, the Catalans have signed Wojciech Szczesny. Just at the end of August, the long-standing Polish national goalkeeper ended his career, and about a month later, he is retiring from retirement: The 34-year-old has signed a contract through to the end of the current season.
