Record transfer in the Premier League: Morgan Rogers moves from Aston Villa to Chelsea FC. The midfielder has signed a contract with the Londoners until June 2032 plus an option for another season. According to “The Athletic”, Chelsea will pay 117 million British pounds (around 137.3 million euros) for the 23-year-old. This would set a record, never before has a higher sum been paid for a British player. Rogers joined Aston Villa from Middlesbrough in January 2024, scoring 28 goals in 117 competitive games for the current Europa League winners.
