The favorites for the Austrian GP 2024

Will there be a home win for Red Bull and Max Verstappen at the Austrian Grand Prix?

The predictions and Austrian GP betting odds from bookie Bwin definitely say so.

The Dutchman has 219 points ahead of the eleventh race of the season. This puts him 69 points ahead of second-placed Lando Norris in the drivers’ standings.

Mad Max” has also won 7 of the 10 races so far. If you only read the figures, you might quickly come to the conclusion that Verstappen has continued to dominate this season.

However, the truth is different. The betting odds for a Verstappen victory this season have never been as high as before the upcoming race in Spielberg.

The reason for this is his closest rival Lando Norris, who also made life difficult for him when he won in Barcelona – and ultimately finished second, less than 2.5 seconds behind.

In general, Norris seems to be the only driver at the moment who can consistently stand up to Verstappen and challenge him. This is reflected in his championship position as well as his two second places in recent races.

The question is: Who else is in contention for victory at the Austrian Grand Prix in Styria?

According to Bwin’s betting odds, Charles Leclerc is the first potential beneficiary should Verstappen and Norris weaken. However, things haven’t gone too well for the Ferrari driver recently with his retirement in Canada and fifth place in Spain.

On the other hand, the resurgent Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell could once again be a force to be reckoned with. In Canada, as well as at the last race in Barcelona, both finished in the top four
