Eintracht Frankfurt – FC Augsburg betting tip

Leverkusen are champions, Darmstadt are as good as relegated. The first decisions in the Bundesliga have already been made ahead of the 30th matchday.

However, with the match between Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Augsburg, the focus is now shifting to the battle for Conference League qualification.

SGE have been languishing in sixth place for some time now, but would be overtaken by FCA if they were to lose by two goals.

In my Frankfurt Augsburg tip, I will generally point out that things have been better for Eintracht in the past

So I only have limited confidence in the Hessians scoring three goals in front of a home crowd and prefer to focus on the bet “Both teams score”, which has strong odds of 1.57 at Oddset.

In general, you can expect a tense encounter.

Frankfurt’s current lack of form and Augsburg’s opportunity to conquer 6th place with a clear victory suggest a wild exchange of blows in which controlled defensive work falls by the wayside.

The prediction of the betting providers?

Of course, Eintracht Frankfurt’s latest results have also left their mark on the sports betting providers.

The odds for a home win against FCA have climbed above the 2.00 mark. Augsburg are the underdogs going into the match. However, the 3.30 odds for an away win speak more in favor of the Fuggerstädter than against them.

As profitable 1×2 odds, however, I am primarily considering the draw. A 1:1 or 2:2 is a realistic scenario given the starting position. The odds of 3.85 for this are respectable

Analysis: Frankfurt vs Augsburg

There is nothing to gloss over: Eintracht Frankfurt are offering their fans very difficult-to-digest soccer fare in the second half of the season.

Over the course of the second half of the season, just three wins have been achieved so far. The points have been shared six times. Of course, this is only a limited application for the Conference League.

However, the team’s own attacking performance has been positive in recent weeks. SGE have scored in nine of their last eleven matches.

However, the two games without a goal came in the last three matches. If Frankfurt score a maximum of one goal against Augsburg, the odds are a strong 1.90.

However, I cannot recommend a home win for Frankfurt. The SGE have collected just two wins in their last twelve games. The weak performance in the 0:3 against VfB Stuttgart on the last Bundesliga matchday is something of a temporary low point

The crux of the matter, however, is that I’m not so sure that FC Augsburg can actually take advantage of Frankfurt’s weakness.

They did beat Union Berlin 2:0 on the previous matchday. Before that, they didn’t exactly recommend themselves for higher tasks with the 1:3 against Hoffenheim and the 1:1 against Cologne (sorry to all Cologne fans).

All in all, they have been on target in recent weeks.

Bayern have scored at least one goal in each of their last eight games.

If Augsburg manage to score at least two goals at Deutsche Bank Park, top betting providers such as Crazybuzzer Germany are offering strong odds of 2.45.

Analysis of odds

As usual, the “Over 2.5 goals” bet is a reliable indicator of what kind of match the major bookmakers are expecting.

The estimated odds of 1.70 make it clear that Oddset and Co. – just like me – are not assuming that Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Augsburg will find themselves in a controlled game of turf chess.

In fact, the counter bet “Under 2.5 goals” is listed at around 2.20, which is noticeably above average.

As a risk bet, I can also recommend the bet “Draw & Both teams score”.

The extension of my main tip has excellent odds of around 4.40 and covers all draws above 0:0. As a result tip, however, I have a 1:1 in my sights.

From the bookmakers’ point of view, this is actually the most likely result at odds of around 7.80.

Frankfurt hardly ever lose and rarely win

Frankfurt’s home record is somewhat curious.

Although the Hessians have only conceded one defeat at home so far this season, they are not one of the very best home teams with just six wins.

Seven draws speak for themselves and once again put a points-split against Augsburg in the spotlight.

Augsburg cannot keep up here with only three away draws. However, SGE’s lack of form and Augsburg’s seven away defeats can be combined to produce another (high-scoring) draw

Holey defenses on both sides!

The direct comparison has a whole range of interesting statistics.

First of all, it is clear at first glance that the two teams have met on equal terms in the recent past.

The last five Bundesliga duels have not produced a result with more than one goal difference. At the same time, the bet “Both teams score” would have led to success in each of the past four games

In the first half of the current season, Augsburg narrowly came out on top in front of their home crowd. In the end, Bayern won 2:1 on matchday 13.

Strikingly, in the last nine Bundesliga duels, the away team has never led at half-time.

Three of the last five games went into the break with a draw. If this is also the case on Friday evening, the odds are around 2.30.

Overall, Frankfurt are ahead in the direct comparison. After 51 matches, there are 23 SGE wins, 23 draws and 15 successes for Augsburg.

However, the more recent record is completely even, with one win and three draws. Augsburg’s away victories in Frankfurt have not exactly been non-stop.

Only four of 25 games in Hesse have been won. If you don’t want to rely on an Augsburg success in Frankfurt, you could hedge your bets with the “Double Chance X2” at odds of around 1.80.

My Frankfurt Augsburg tip:

Neither Eintracht Frankfurt nor FC Augsburg have been really fit for the European Cup recently.

But of course, 6th place in the table cannot remain empty.

I therefore assume that both teams will battle it out for that position in a rather wild game, without putting on any playful highlights. However, goals should not be in short supply.

My Frankfurt Augsburg tip is therefore: Both teams to score at least one goal each
