Bundesliga Matchday 31, Saturday, 04/26/2025 at 6:30 p.m.
An exciting battle for Champions League places in the Bundesliga top match of the 31st matchday. Eintracht Frankfurt welcomes RB Leipzig. SGE has the chance to perhaps pull away decisively. A defeat would open the door for the pursuers.
In my Frankfurt RB Leipzig prediction, I don’t expect the scoreboard to go crazy. The teams have been too solid defensively for that, so it could be a fairly tactical affair in which both sides wait until late in the game to take risks.
That’s why I’m going for “under 4.5 goals” on Winamax and adding a Leipzig goal.
Under Zsolt Löw, Leipzig have scored in all four competitive games so far, starting with the cup defeat against Stuttgart (1-3), followed by league wins against Hoffenheim (3-1) and Wolfsburg (3-1), and they also scored in the disappointing 1-1 draw at home against Kiel.
The Red Bulls are in a Champions League spot ahead of the 31st matchday and can draw level on points with Frankfurt, or even overtake them with a 4-0 win, for example. But the match is definitely not likely to be that one-sided!
The betting providers’ predictions
This is also confirmed by our PayPal betting providers. Frankfurt is favored at 2.25 at home in Deutsche Bank Park, but not by much. A 3.00 is waiting for a Leipzig away win.
Those who want to bet on a draw can look forward to generous odds of 3.85. That would be my choice if I had to commit myself here. Otherwise, I am particularly tempted by the “Double Chance X2” at the same odds compared to my final betting tip.
AI prediction Frankfurt vs. RB Leipzig: ChatGPT’s prediction
The AI sees it differently, suggesting a home win as a “low risk” bet with the DNB option. With this option, the stake is refunded in the event of a draw, but the odds for a win are significantly lower.
And with its second selection, ChatGPT is almost betting against me. Based on its data, the artificial intelligence has determined that it is more likely to be a high-scoring game and is suggesting “over 3.5 goals.”
I’ll just say this much: there have never been more than four goals between Frankfurt and Leipzig. That’s why I feel much more comfortable with “under 4.5.” The AI pulls a result prediction from the high odds shelf.
In line with the other two odds, it decides on a 3-1 win for the hosts. At least the occurrence of all three odds does not rule out the success of my bet, even though I am approaching the matter from a completely different perspective.
Analysis: Frankfurt vs. RB Leipzig
Frankfurt has only conceded more than one goal in its last nine competitive games against Werder, losing 2-0 at the Weserstadion. Five times in this run, they conceded one goal and three times they even kept a clean sheet. Added to this is the Eagles’ strong home record.
They have 30 points from 15 games, conceding just 20 goals. That’s a meagre goals-against average of 1.33. How are things looking for Leipzig? They have conceded just one more goal away from home than Frankfurt have at home.
Neither side has had many clear-cut chances recently. In the league, only the Wolves have scored more than one goal against the Saxons in their last six games. These figures make me confident that the result will be within reasonable limits.
A win would be important for Champions League qualification. However, the main priority on Saturday evening, especially for Frankfurt, is not to lose this match. This starting position should make the match less tense, especially in the early stages.
Odds analysis
I’m therefore not averse to the odds that the game will go into the break at 0-0. We’re talking about a whopping 3.70 odds here. This is where Winamax’s hot new customer bonus comes into play.
As a welcome gift, you’ll receive free betting credit of up to $100. The amount depends on the deposit amount. I would advise everyone to take advantage of the full amount, as there is no catch with this offer that requires you to wager your real money multiple times at high odds.
Instead, you only have to wager your credit once at odds of 1.05 to be able to withdraw it. The winnings from the free bets are even payable immediately. What’s more, all odds are free of betting taxes.
If you think 0-0 is too risky, you can go for “Under 1.5 goals in the first 45 minutes” at odds of 1.64.
Frankfurt vs. RB Leipzig: Frankfurt unbeaten at home against RBL
I think it’s very likely that Leipzig will score at least one goal before the final whistle. Overall, Frankfurt has conceded the third-most chances in the league and is also in the unwanted third place in terms of shots on goal.
The offensive statistics are all the more encouraging, which is why I ultimately decided against the “Double Chance X2” bet. Frankfurt has had more time to digest its Europa League exit and, after a busy schedule, now has a longer break between games.
I’m also concerned about Leipzig’s personnel problems. The injury list is not exactly short. However, Eintracht also has to do without a few important players. All in all, the starting market is too tricky for me.
I’m also unimpressed by the fact that Frankfurt are still unbeaten against Leipzig after nine home games. The most common result has been a draw, which has happened five times. Four encounters in Hesse have ended in victory for SGE.
Great goalscorer bet for the top game!
On the other hand, Frankfurt has only won once in Leipzig, so overall we have a very even head-to-head record.
Leipzig has scored in three consecutive games against Frankfurt. We’ve already had two encounters this season alone.
In addition to the 2-1 win in the first leg, the two-time cup winners prevailed 3-0 in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup.
Since I’m expecting Leipzig to score, I took a closer look at the goal scorer odds, and Winamax is flexing its muscles here as well. This is because double chance selections are available here with packages of two players each.
And this is where the Sesko/Openda option comes into play with a strong 1.74. Both strikers have been on the pitch from the first minute in all four games under Löw, and at least one of them has scored in every game so far!
My Frankfurt RB Leipzig prediction:
I don’t think there will be more than four goals in the 18th meeting between Leipzig and Frankfurt. The teams have been too stable in recent weeks for that, and losing is simply not an option in this match, which is why I expect a cautious start.
For me, the match is a 50/50 affair. Leipzig are in slightly better form, but have never won in Frankfurt. One of the Openda/Sesko duo has always scored under the new team management.
Therefore, I am going for the following bet: Leipzig to score & under 4.5 goals.
