Germany Denmark betting tip & the best odds for the round of 16
The EURO 2024 has long since heated up, our Euro tips are even starting to glow. Many questions have already been answered. However, some important questions about the round of 16 are still to be answered in my Germany Denmark betting tip.
For example: Where is the DFB team heading? To Dortmund, of course. But will two wins against European Championship outsiders like Hungary and Scotland be enough to make them serious contenders for the title?
The laborious performance against the first really defensive team from Switzerland has certainly raised doubts. In the media. For me. For you too?
The fact is that after looking at the Germany-Denmark odds in detail, I’ve decided to back “Denmark to score”. Betano has odds of 1.72 on offer for this and therefore offers excellent value.
In my Germany Denmark prediction, I’m not assuming that the DFB team will stroll into the quarter-finals without any major problems. The Danes are too unpleasant to play against. Even more unpleasant than Switzerland, I’d say
It should not be swept under the carpet that Denmark have yet to lose at the European Championship – not even against top team England.
My Germany-Denmark prediction is correspondingly nuanced, so you won’t find me wearing Germany glasses.
You can also find objective tips adjusted for the “human factor” in our Germany Denmark AI prediction. What betting ideas does ChatGPT have in store? And are the calculations of the smart tinpot good enough to find a suitable eighth-final bet?
I will also give my opinion on this and try to guide you through the betting jungle in the run-up to the first knockout round of the European Championship. But first, let’s take a look at the classic 1×2 odds to get to the bottom of our bookmakers’ assessment:
The bookmakers’ prediction for Germany – Denmark
No question: Germany’s performance against Switzerland has left its mark on the European Championship bookmakers.
All bookmakers see the DFB team as the favorites against the Danes. However, the Germany-Denmark odds are not as clear-cut as might have been assumed in advance.
With odds of around 1.65, even a simple single bet on a German success is worthwhile. However, the 6.00 for a Danish victory can only be considered a high-risk bet.
The most interesting odds, however, are undoubtedly the tight 4.00 for a draw. It is certainly not unrealistic that both teams will go into extra time with a 1:1 draw
KI prediction Germany vs Denmark: This is how ChatGPT
predicts
At least ChatGPT does not recommend a 1:1. Rather, the Germany Denmark AI prediction has a 2:1 win for the DFB team in its sights. Interestingly, with a value of 8.75, the 2:1 win for the Nagelsmann team is rated higher than the 1:1 (7.60).
Does the AI know something that our bookmakers don’t? As far as I’m concerned, the AI’s result tip seems sensible. The German defense is by no means solid.
In addition, the Bundesliga coach will have to make do without Jonathan Tah, who is suspended with a yellow card, and rebuild the defense. In short: ChatGPT deserves a pat on the virtual back. The 2:1 is a clear alternative from my point of view!
Of course, the AI is also good at risk assessment. As a safety-first tip, ChatGPT has the bet “Under 3.5 goals” at odds of 1.30. In combination with the 2:1, this is on the edge. But I don’t expect a goal festival between Germany and Denmark either.
For the very brave among you, ChatGPT also serves you the bet “Kai Havertz scores the first goal”. The odds for this are lucrative at 6.10. However, I’m not really enthusiastic about this bet.
The Arsenal star is currently on target at the home European Championships. Behind him, Niclas Füllkrug is even pushing into the starting eleven. There are certainly better betting alternatives for European Championship betting, which I will discuss below:
Germany – Denmark odds: Where are the highest Germany/Denmark odds?
Of course, the boost offers of the individual betting providers are worth a special look. Oddset, for example, is offering strong odds of 4.10 for the bet “Win Germany & Both teams score”. This would also cover the ChatGPT 2:1.
Who could be responsible for the Danish goal can again be answered with a boost.
You can also find Germany Denmark odds for “Rasmus Hojlund scores” at Oddset. The boosted odds of 5.75 are certainly impressive and are undoubtedly one of the most interesting Germany Denmark tips.
However, if you don’t want to know about a Danish goal and are fully backing the DFB team, Bet365 is offering odds of 13.0 for a 3:0 win for the European Championship hosts
Analysis: Germany vs Denmark
I have to admit that I find it somewhat difficult to make a final judgment on the DFB team. Ultimately, I’m not entirely sure whether the euphoria surrounding Julian Nagelsmann’s team is based on actual substance.
You can argue that Germany have not been defeated in seven international matches and scored eight goals during the preliminary round of the European Championship.
However, the sometimes shaky test matches and the ultimately fortunate 1-1 draw against Switzerland suggest that the DFB team is still a long way from regaining its old stability.
They have also conceded at least one goal in three of their last four games, which I also predict for the match against Denmark.
To summarize, Germany have only really impressed against Scotland in their last five international matches. Scotland, who, as you know, are already a thing of the past having finished bottom of their group.
If all this makes you think of the “Double Chance X2” on Saturday, then I can understand that all too well. Germany Denmark odds of around 2.30 are really worth considering
Do you remember Portugal? Portugal at Euro 2016, I mean. The team led by Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t win a game in the preliminary round of the tournament in France and ended up as European champions.
Three draws were enough to get through the group stage. The Danes now also have three draws to their name ahead of their clash with Germany. But that’s where the similarities end.
Danish Dynamite do not play at the same level as Portugal. But that could end up being a problem for the DFB team
So it would come as no surprise if the Danish defense turns out to be a concrete block that the German offense bites its teeth into.
Remarkable: Denmark have never conceded more than one goal in each of their last seven matches.
If the underdog also keeps the DFB team under two goals conceded, you can dust off strong odds of just under 2.00.
Odds analysis
It is no surprise that the bookmakers are not expecting a goal festival on Saturday evening. As already pointed out, a battle of attrition is likely, in which the underdogs will demand everything from the DFB team.
This is made clear not least by the odds of 1.70 for a match with under 2.5 goals. The counter-bet “Over 2.5 goals” is listed at around 2.05, which is a rather rare occurrence.
A strong alternative bet in this context is the Germany Denmark bet “Both teams to score”, for which the odds climb to a well above-average 2.00.
As I have a German goal on the cards and also believe that the Danes will score at least one goal in my main betting tip, I am “pot comitted” here to a certain extent.
As an additional tip, you can consider a draw at half-time. If both teams meet at eye level until the break, top bookmakers like Oddset offer odds of 2.18.
Germany vs. Denmark odds: The Danes can win the European Championship
Let’s take a look at the European Championship history of both national teams in the Germany Denmark prediction. The Danes’ place in the round of 16 is not surprising in the overall context. After all, they reached the semi-finals of the 2021 European Corona Championship.
There they were only beaten by England in extra time (1:2). The title win in 1992 is of course unforgettable.
Starting the tournament as the runners-up, they celebrated the greatest success in the association’s history – in the final against Germany. The DFB team’s relationship with the European Championship can now be described as ambivalent.
On the one hand, they are still the best European Championship team in history, having won three titles and reached three more finals.
On the other hand, the last triumph is now 28 years in the past. Berti Vogts led the DFB to the title in 1996. It wasn’t pretty back then, apart from Jürgen Klinsmann’s hair. But successful in any case
A zero number would come out of nowhere!
I really don’t want to paint the famous devil on the wall. But the statistics of the direct comparison also give a hint that Germany will face a bigger challenge in Dortmund on Saturday.
The DFB team have not won their two most recent matches against Denmark in 2021 and 2017. Both encounters ended in a 1-1 draw.
The last competitive match to date came at the 2012 European Championship. Twelve years ago, the Germans narrowly won 2:1.
If you now include the previous test matches in the balance, it becomes clear that Denmark have always scored in the last six games against the DFB team.
The last match without a Danish goal dates back to 1996. Back then, Germany won 2:0 in England in the run-up to the European Championship.
Overall, Germany’s record against the Northern Lights is positive. Germany have won 15 of their 28 matches to date. There have been eight defeats and five draws.
The two national teams have met three times at the European Championship. Germany won two duels (1988 and 2012), Denmark the final in 1992.
Remarkable: In the last 14 meetings, neither team has ever scored more than two goals.
This makes the 2-2 draw in the 2010 test match the highest-scoring duel in recent decades.
My Germany Denmark tip:
Blech-Genie ChatGPT has a 2:1 in his virtual eye. I favor a 1:1, so artificial intelligence and my three brain cells are not that far apart.
The general common ground: a goal from the Danes is firmly on the cards. How Germany will perform under pressure without Jonathan Tah is hard to predict at the moment.
In addition, the Switzerland game proved that defensive teams can certainly keep up with the DFB team.
And Denmark is one of them. Accordingly, I expect a close match to develop, in which the duels will be very tight.
Whether the DFB team will be 100% up to the task is doubtful to say the least. Therefore, my Germany Denmark prediction is: The Danes will score at least one goal
