Sheffield United has achieved a transfer coup: As the Championship club officially announced, Ghana’s record international Jordan Ayew (34) has joined the Blades with immediate effect for one season. The striker’s contract with Leicester City expired after relegation last June, and after the World Cup (four appearances, all from the start), Ayew was left without a club. Now Ayew comes to the current ninth place in the English lower house with the recommendation of 305 Premier League appearances (42 goals).
