Holger Sanwald, CEO of Bundesliga bottom club 1 FC Heidenheim, has backed coach Frank Schmidt in the current crisis. The fact that the club is holding on to the 51-year-old is “a matter of course. Our path only happens together with our coach. Frank has the full support,” Sanwald said before Saturday’s game at Union Berlin. All those responsible at FCH are “still totally convinced of him. We all feel and experience every day the energy with which he tackles this.”
