Hoffenheim – Frankfurt betting tip, AI prediction & odds 01/26/2025

Bundesliga 19th matchday, Saturday, 26.01.2025 at 3:30 pm

Hoffenheim is stuck in the bottom half of the Bundesliga table (15th) and is in serious danger of being relegated this season. TSG is walking a fine line, conceding too many goals and not finding a central axis in defense that can provide sufficient stability.

The Kraichgauer cannot afford to make mistakes like the recent 3-2 defeat in the Europa League against Tottenham against a top team like Eintracht Frankfurt, but they are likely to be made.

The SGE recently let their top attacker Omar Marmoush move to Manchester City, but they shouldn’t have to worry too much about their own offensive department. At least not in this clash.

Hoffenheim have not won in their last three Bundesliga home games (2N, 1U) and, given the current league standings, will have to prepare for another defeat against Frankfurt.

In my Hoffenheim Frankfurt betting tip, I think the SGE is capable of scoring at least two goals, as in so many other matches this season. Interwetten has the right offer for “Frankfurt Over 1.5 goals” and promises a 1.90-fold profit.

The betting providers’ prediction?

There are several football bets to choose from as a suitable option for a Hoffenheim Frankfurt betting tip. The Eagle Bearers recently won three league games in a row and yet are calling for a win rate of around 2.25.

This odds already contains an exciting value and makes it onto the shortlist for my Hoffenheim Frankfurt tip. The Kraichgauer recently lost three Bundesliga duels in a row against Eintracht.

As expected, the bookmakers don’t really trust the hosts to win at home, with win odds of around 3.10. Even a point split is in a similar range with odds of about 3.60.

As announced, ChatGPT also looked at this game – and at least came up with one or two ideas that are worth looking at.

In my opinion, however, the variant with the supposedly low risk should definitely not be counted on: considering that Eintracht have kept a clean sheet in 4 of their last 8 Bundesliga games, the odds for the BTS are simply much too puny.

The double chance 1X at only a slightly higher rate is worth considering. Although I am generally more likely to expect a victory for the guests, the Kraichgauer can still hope for fresh momentum from their recent victory in Kiel.

However, since I tend to back the eagles, the high-risk option is my clear favorite. If the Hessians build on their strong performances of the past few days, a win with at least a two-goal lead is definitely possible!

Analysis: Hoffenheim vs Frankfurt

In Kraichgau, the decision-makers decided on a turnaround a few months ago, installed several people from Sturm Graz and even hired Christian Ilzer, the former Graz coach.

However, there has been no major turnaround under Ilzer so far. TSG did win an immensely important relegation battle against Kiel (3-1) on the last matchday, but they have only managed an average of 0.75 points from a total of twelve competitive games since Ilzer’s appointment.

Hoffenheim have lost two Bundesliga home games in a row and scored only two goals in the three previous matches at the PreZero Arena.

In the clash with Frankfurt, however, the home side will need several goals if they are to achieve their stated goal of a second consecutive Bundesliga win.

Odds analysis

The odds for a guest win seem a bit too high to me. Frankfurt has done quite well in recent away games, winning three of their last four Bundesliga guest appearances.

It is definitely advisable to take the Interwetten freebet and bet on a “Frankfurt win”.

Likewise, this Winamax bonus could pay off in the match combination “Frankfurt win & Over 1.5 goals”. The odds offered are 2.55 and are a real bargain.

Hoffenheim v Frankfurt: The gap is too big

During the week, Hoffenheim had a hard time getting into the game against Tottenham. There were some glaring gaps between the lines, which made it easier for the Spurs to play combinations. In addition, Nsoki’s bad pass before the 1:3 was not the first time this season that he made a momentous mistake.

TSG definitely has individual quality in its squad that speaks for staying in the league. Defensively, however, the construction sites are so extensive that the work in the back line is not expected to be completed before the end of this season.

Among all Bundesliga clubs, there are only two teams (Gladbach, Bochum) that have conceded more goals than Hoffenheim (31.7 xGA).

A punishable offense

Frankfurt will look for the spaces between the TSG defensive chains, find them and strike coldly. The SGE has so far converted 15.0 percent of their shots (5th) and played 0.13 xG per shot – only Stuttgart (0.14) was better in this respect.

Overall, only one team in the German football bel etage (Bayern Munich) managed to score more expected goals than the men in the eagle jersey (35.7 xG). Furthermore, only FCB (56) scored more goals than Frankfurt (44).

Frankfurt made a brilliant return to the league after the winter break, winning every Bundesliga game since the beginning of the year (3) and conceding just one goal in total against St. Pauli (1-0), Freiburg (4-1) and Dortmund (2-0).

Up to now, the team in third place in the table has scored at least two goals on eleven of the 18 matchdays played. According to rumors, the attackers of the Hessen have already run out of ideas for creative goal celebrations.

Hoffenheim, on the other hand, were only allowed to show a maximum of one goal celebration in nine of the eleven previous matches in the German top flight. So the signs are actually pointing more towards a handicap win for the guests than towards Hoffenheim getting a point.

In addition, the English weeks due to the additional Europa League games did not do TSG any good at all. Hoffenheim has not won a Bundesliga game at the weekend after a Europa League appearance.

The SGE handled the pressure completely differently, winning three of six matches after a Europa League matchday and losing only a single Bundesliga game.

My Hoffenheim Frankfurt Tip:

Eintracht Frankfurt is having the best season in the club’s history and is currently in third place with 36 points after 18 matchdays.

SGE has even won more away games (5) than Hoffenheim has even won Bundesliga games this season (4).

The Adlerträger’s offensive play is their showpiece and Hoffenheim usually just chases after it defensively.

My Hoffenheim Frankfurt tip is: Frankfurt Over 1.5 goals!
