Celebrating Christmas as league leaders? Inter Milan fans may well have to do without! The defending champions have played one game less and will therefore be able to cope if they don’t jump to the top for the time being.
On Monday evening, the San Siro will host a newly promoted team, and the home side will naturally want to go one better after their recent 6-0 win over Lazio Roma. In my Inter Milan Como betting tip, I’ll tell you why I expect a fairly clear home win.
The most consistent series of the season right before Christmas? You could do with keeping all those wins in a row for so long! Inter Milan go into this 2024/25 season as defending champions knowing that not everything is going as smoothly as they would like.
With ten wins, four draws and one defeat, they are currently third, with Napoli and Atalanta not far behind – especially as the Black & Blues still have a catch-up game on their side.
Once, between September and October, the team managed to win three times in a row, Inter have just repeated this feat and made up ground offensively.
5:0 against Hellas Verona, 3:1 against Parma and most recently even 6:0 against Lazio Rome – suddenly the reigning champions are blowing everything away! They have scored at least three goals eight times this season, and with a total of 40 goals, their attack is the best.

Naples, Turin, Milan? The three games that have not been won since matchday five have each featured a really strong opponent – Como, of course, does not fall into this category.
Nevertheless, I have to say that Inter are currently performing better away from home (five wins, two defeats and 21:5 goals) than at home (five wins, two draws, one defeat and 19:10 goals).
Since the end of August, only the 1-0 win against Venezia has seen no goals conceded, and only on matchdays two and three have they managed to win two home games in a row.
Goals were conceded in five home games, four times after the break. That’s why it might pay off for you to bet that Como will score in the second 45 minutes.
At Oddset, this bet has odds of 2.80. Of course, the defending champions will be hoping that they can rely on former Gladbach player Marcus Thuram, who has already netted eleven times, on Monday.
In three home games this season, he has neither scored nor set up a goal – and his club only won one of them! He is therefore extremely important for the team and, like many of his colleagues, will face Como for the first time ever on Monday.
This is the first time the two teams have met since 2003, so I don’t need to look back in history. Our bookmakers have relied on the current facts and, unsurprisingly, quickly found their favorite.
Inter are ahead with average odds of 1.25 to 11.5. Where does Como stand in the table? Three wins doesn’t sound particularly exciting, of course, and the points have already been shared six times.
However, the team has been relatively consistent at the moment and has not lost in three games. They managed that once before in September, and it would be a new record if match number four were to be added this time.
Two defeats at home, five away, which quickly shows how comfortable the promoted team feels in front of their own fans. However, the only win away from home came at top club Atalanta Bergamo.
0:1 against Udinese, Torino and Empoli, three of the five defeats were very close. The 3-1 defeat in Naples and the 3-0 loss to Juventus Turin were a little clearer.
Incidentally, the recent 2-0 win against Roma was the first time this season that Como managed to escape without conceding a goal. The only problem is that Inter have never gone goalless
Inter Milan are playing a solid first half of the season, but there is still room for improvement for the defending champions. The team is currently in strong form, with 14 goals scored in the last three matches.
Como are a thoroughly unpleasant team who have only scored once. The newly promoted side are less comfortable away from home, having conceded three goals at Juventus and Napoli. Nevertheless, this team should not be underestimated.
However, after the recent 6:0 against Lazio Rome, I assume that Inter will not be unsettled on Monday. Their own fans are expecting a clear victory and my tip is accordingly:
The home side will win by at least two goals
