The Tractor Boys and the Villans open this week’s Premier League soccer Sunday. And there’s a lot at stake for the promoted side in particular.
They are still waiting for their first win of the season and the pressure is correspondingly high. It’s a completely different story for the visitors, who want to get back into the mix at the top.
That’s why my Ipswich Aston Villa betting tip assumes a clear playing advantage for the favorites. However, the home side will still have their scenes.
At first glance, three points after five games looks strange, admittedly. Also that they are one of six teams still waiting for their first win.
But in my eyes, the Tractor Boys are right on target. After all, they’ve already faced two tough opponents in Liverpool and Manchester City.
From now on, everything should get easier. They have shown in recent weeks that they can hold their own in the league.
They have picked up a point against Fulham, Brighton and Southampton and never conceded more than one goal. Nevertheless, they have now gone seven competitive games without a win.
The men from Birmingham, meanwhile, have made themselves comfortable at the top again. They have secured 12 out of a possible 15 points so far. They have never started a season better!
However, coach Unai Emery will be focusing more on the defense. His team have not kept a clean sheet in ten league games
This has led to an increasing number of wild games. The Villans have scored at least three goals in eight of their last nine competitive matches. Will it be the same this time?

However, you can’t blame the Villans up front. In their seven competitive matches this season, including the Champions League, they have scored at least twice six times.
Much will therefore depend on whether the Blues’ defense stands firm or not. As already mentioned, they have conceded fewer than 1.5 goals three times in a row recently.
However, Emery’s team – with all due respect to Fulham, Southampton and Brighton – are a different caliber. Nevertheless, betting providers such as Bet365 are only optimistic to a limited extent.
