VfL Bochum must still deal with the separation of goalkeeper Manuel Riemann, who moved from SV Sandhausen to the Ruhrpott in 2015 and was booted out before the relegation matches against Düsseldorf. The 35-year-old (2023/24: 33 games this season, kicker grade average 3.06) has been linked with Hamburger SV. His successor in Bochum is likely to be KSC keeper Patrick Drewes
