Jagiellonia – Ljubljana betting tip, prediction & odds 19/12/2024

Conference League, group stage, match day 6, Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 9:00 pm

Jagiellonia Bialystok? Never heard of them! Those of you who have been following our Conference League tips for a while will have noticed that this name has not come up for a long time – until today, because suddenly this club could march straight into the knockout round!

The Poles are playing at home again in the group final, with a rival from Slovenia, who also still has a chance of reaching the top 8, as a guest. One thing is clear: my Jagiellonia Bialystok Olimpija Ljubljana tip will be fiercely contested – so I’ll tell you now why I’m betting on goals from both teams.

The third highest European competition, it is partly a geographical digression! The Conference League is gathering more and more debutants, and from year to year there are more teams that are allowed to celebrate their international premiere.

Jagiellonia Bialystok will be one of them in 2024/25, when the team from Poland will make its debut in European competition. They probably don’t care that it’s “only” the third-highest, because the Conference League seems to be the perfect place for Bialystok.

A debutant who has direct qualification for the knockout round in his own hands – Jagiellonia have to do that first! They are currently in eighth place, so a number of competitors could still overtake them.

A win on Thursday will put them in with a great chance of reaching the knockout phase, but it will only be certain once the results of their competitors are known. Jagiellonia started really well, but unfortunately have been on a downward spiral recently.

2:1 against Copenhagen, 2:0 against Petrocub, 3:0 against Molde? The wins became more and more apparent from match to match! On matchday four, the streak came to an end with a 3-3 draw against Celje.

An own goal in minute 80 squandered the win, apparently the Poles took it so that they lost 0-1 against Mlada Boleslav. Or was it rather due to the fact that the two most recent games were played away from home?

2:1 (in the last second), 3:3 and 0:1, the three results away from home were in need of improvement. At home, however, they won 2:0 and 3:0, so it could well be an advantage to play the last match in front of their own fans.

Three goals in half time one, seven in half time two? Apparently the team only really wakes up after the half-time break. Bialystok must now be careful not to squander the good starting position.

Afimico Pululu is the man to watch out for on Thursday. The striker has already scored five goals in the current competition, making him one of the most dangerous players in the Conference League.
A corresponding goalscorer bet could therefore be worthwhile at Bwin, because if Pululu scores against Ljubljana, the odds at this bookmaker are 3.25. Incidentally, the Bwin voucher is also available here.

Is it a good or bad omen that the team from Slovenia is competing for a direct spot in the knockout round? With Celje already in the running during the preliminary round, the 3-3 draw was a draw no team could celebrate.

The guests from Ljubljana know: We still have a chance of making the top 8, but in addition to our own victory, quite a few competitors would have to make a mistake. I have to admit: I can’t quite figure out Olimpija.

After losing 2-1 to Heidenheim in the opening game, they started a winning streak. 2-0 against LASK, 2-0 against Helsinki and 1-0 against Larne, and suddenly the team was surging up the table!

The good mood was suddenly gone against Cercle Bruges, which resulted in a clear 1:4 defeat. Three clean sheets, then four goals conceded, and at home no less? There’s no real explanation for that.

In the domestic league, Olimpija are top with just one defeat, while Bjagiellonia are lagging further behind in the Polish league and have recently drawn four games in a row.

Jagiellonia Bialystok in the knockout phase of an international competition? That could be a reality as early as Thursday! Their opponents, Olimpija Ljubljana, are an unpredictable bunch in my opinion.

The Slovenians can win several times without conceding a goal before they then go down 4-1. I have also been able to see that there are currently too many goals against on the home side.

That’s why I decided to set up a betting classic here, after all, there is still a lot at stake for both. In this respect, my tip is:

Both Teams to Score!
