After Julian Niehues from Kaiserslautern, 1. FC Heidenheim have announced their second new signing for the coming season: Luca Kerber joins the Bundesliga club from cup semi-finalists Saarbrücken. The central midfielder joins on a free transfer and will receive a contract until the summer of 2027. Kerber is a “young and highly talented player”, explained Robert Strauß, Head of Sport at Heidenheim, adding that the 22-year-old could “become an important component of our team”.
