Lazio Rome – Parma Tip, Prediction & Odds 28.04.2025

Serie A, Monday, 28.04.2025 at 20:45

A close race for Europe? It’s not just happening in the Bundesliga! In Italy’s Serie A, Inter and Napoli have pulled away, but behind them, almost anything can happen. For Lazio Rome, that’s probably the only good news this week.

The Eagles are struggling to win, especially at home. It’s unfortunate that they have another home game on Monday. In my Lazio Rome vs. Parma prediction, I’ll tell you why I don’t see a clear winner and why I’m going for a 2-0 handicap for the visitors.

The top four teams in Italy’s top division qualify for the Champions League. After 33 rounds, the picture is as follows: Bologna are fourth with 60 points, Fiorentina are eighth with 56.

Everything is still up for grabs in between, with Lazio Rome sitting in sixth place. The good news is that they have only lost once in the last three months. The bad news: three wins from the last nine games is not exactly a masterpiece.

But for the fans, it gets even worse: since the end of November, they have seen only one win at their home stadium, the Olympic Stadium! The 5-1 win against Monza was against the bottom team, and all eight other home games in that period were lost.

However, it’s not as if Lazio are completely throwing away one home game after another. They drew 2-2 once, 1-1 three times, and most recently there have been four draws in a row. The Eagles have shared the points seven times at home and lost twice.

A home game without conceding a goal? The last time that happened was in November. The Romans have kept two clean sheets in total when the Olympic Stadium has opened its gates. In that respect, there are a few betting opportunities here.

If you prefer to play it safe, bet on the visitors from Parma to score. Bet365 is still offering odds of 1.58 for this. On top of that, you can pick up some betting credits here.

The “Double Chance X2” is also worth considering. With odds of 2.50, this tip is very profitable. Since the home team has already played four 1-1 draws, you can go all in.

The result bet has odds of 8.50 at Bet365. Incidentally, 13 of Lazio’s 16 home games have seen goals from both sides. The classic “both teams to score” bet will get you odds of 1.87 on Monday.

The bookmakers don’t have much faith in the visitors. With odds of 1.45 to 5.75, the home side are clear favorites. This could be due to the head-to-head record.

Lazio lost 1-3 in the first leg – an absolute historic defeat! Before that, the Eagles had won eleven games in a row. Home defeats against Parma? None since 2009 – they have won every home game since then.

The visitors are aware of their underdog status, but that won’t bother them too much. They started the season as promoted team and have a good chance of avoiding relegation.

They are six points clear of the relegation zone, which is a comfortable cushion. But haven’t they only won two of their last 15 games? That’s true, of course.

At the same time, however, Parma are unbeaten in six games. They have drawn five times in a row and even managed to take a point off Inter. A few days ago, there was cause for celebration with a 1-0 win over Juventus Turin.

Five of the six wins have come at home, and some of the defeats were not necessarily inevitable. Only against Atalanta Bergamo and Lecce were they clearly beaten, if we consider a 1-3 result to be clear.

Away from home, there has been only one defeat: a 5-0 thrashing. Where? Of all places, in the Eternal City, against AS Roma. A bad omen for this Monday?

A simple task that will end in a clear victory? On paper, that’s what you’d think about the match between Lazio Rome and Parma, but I don’t think it’s that clear-cut.

The Eagles rarely lose, but they haven’t won a home game in months. The fans are tired of all the draws. Parma is a team that has also found great pleasure in draws recently.

Since almost all of their defeats have been very close and the team is currently unbeaten in six games, I don’t believe in a landslide victory for the Eagles, but instead predict:

A 2-0 handicap is enough for Parma to win!
