Tax-free betting makes the clash between Lecce and struggling AC Milan even more exciting. While the southern Italians have been without a goal for four games, the Rossoneri are battling three league defeats in a row.
My Lecce AC Milan tip: A close game with the potential for surprises. Lecce are strong at home against Milan, while the visitors are shaky away from home.
Smart bettors could benefit from attractive odds on a close result here!
US Lecce are in a relegation battle and now face a struggling Milan club – a duel that is likely to be more exciting than the Lecce AC Milan odds suggest at first glance.
However, the southern Italian side have now failed to score in four consecutive league games (2 draws, 2 defeats). Last weekend, they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against Florence.
This miserable run has now seen their lead over the relegation places shrink to three points; with just 18 goals, Marco Giampaolo’s team have the weakest attack in the entire league anyway.
A particularly bitter blow: they suffered a clear 3-0 defeat against the 19-time Italian champions in the first-round duel, with all goals conceded within just five minutes before the break.
Another problem: Lecce are currently having trouble on home turf – they have not scored a single goal in four home games and have instead suffered two defeats and, logically, two clean sheets.
The last success in front of a home crowd? That dates back to December …
However, there is at least a glimmer of hope for the southern Italians: Lecce have scored at least once in their last nine home matches with the “Rossoneri”, losing just two games in that period (1 win, 6 draws).
That’s impressive, isn’t it? And given Milan’s current form, that’s something the hosts could build on.
Milan are by no means in top form: Sérgio Conceição’s side arrive with three league defeats in a row, most recently losing 2-1 to Lazio after conceding a late goal.
This negative run has exacerbated the situation – Champions League qualification is increasingly in jeopardy – and if Milan are not careful, they could soon be pushed out of the European Cup zone completely.
Another low point for all AC fans: If they suffer another defeat in Lecce, it would be the first time since 1986 that their favorite team has conceded four Serie A defeats in a row!
Milan have won the last two head-to-head duels 3-0, but both times at San Siro.
Away from home, however, things are currently looking bleak: The “red and blacks” have lost their last two away games. Should they come away empty-handed again, it would be the first time since May 2015 that Milan have suffered three league defeats away from home in a row.
Nevertheless, the squad theoretically has the necessary quality to turn things around.
The only question is whether the visitors are mentally capable of pulling themselves out of this crisis.
In any case, the Lecce AC Milan odds reflect a clear favorite role for the visitors, which I honestly can hardly understand in this form.
A draw is certainly within the realms of possibility here – and would be a worthwhile option at odds of over 4.00. Alternatively, a goal bet is also an option.
Because despite the offensive problems, Lecce’s defense could at least salvage a point over time.
By the way: In 10 of the last 14 Serie A games of the “Rossoneri” this season, it was a draw at halftime.
And it would certainly not be a sensation if it was the case again this time.
On the Merkur Bets app, you can select “Draw at half-time” at current odds of 2.25 with relative confidence.
In any case, Lecce will demand everything from Milan, which is why I’m not completely averse to a DC-1X bet at odds of around 2.10 after 90 minutes.
Conclusion: Milan are completely off their game and it seems only a matter of time before Conceição is out of a job. Three league defeats in a row put the “Rossoneri” under enormous pressure.
The hosts, on the other hand, are fighting for survival in Serie A and will, as experience shows, put up a tough fight – especially in front of their home crowd.
The home advantage could indeed be the decisive factor, as Milan have shown great weaknesses away from home recently …
A close, hard-fought game is therefore to be expected!
My Lecce AC Milan tip: Under 2.5 goals
