VfB Stuttgart have signed attacker Justin Diehl from 1. FC Köln. The 19-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the runners-up until June 2029. Diehl is the second new attacker for the 2024/25 season after Nick Woltemade, who joins from Weder Bremen. Born in Cologne, Diehl joined 1. FC Köln back in 2011 and has since come through all the junior teams at the Geißbockheim. FC would have liked to extend his contract, which was due to expire at the end of the season, but the talented striker opted for a free transfer to the Neckar. His departure was not entirely without incident, as he was suspended for disciplinary reasons in the season finale
