Lucerne – Thun Tip Super League, 1st matchday on Saturday, 25.07.26 at 20:30 CET
While the German Bundesliga clubs have only just started their pre-season preparations, Matchday 1 is already on the schedule in the Swiss Super League.
The big question is: Can FC Lucerne give the defending champions from Thun a leg up right from the start? The fact is that the Thun team has been more concerned with celebrations than victories in the recent past. Only one of the last nine games has been won.
In my Lucerne Thun tip, however, I still assume that the reigning Swiss champion cuts a solid figure. After all, all duels with Lucerne were won in the previous season. The “Double Chance X2” at a strong odd of around 1.70 at Bet-at-home Germany is therefore the bet of my choice.
Lucerne vs. Thun AI Predictions:
Our AI model does not lie down after the end of the 2026 World Cup and presents you with additional betting alternatives in its Lucerne Thun AI forecast.
And indeed, the digital brain is much bolder than I am right from the start and recommends “Sieg Thun” at odds of about 3.30. For the back of the mind: Lucerne was only able to win four at home in the regular league round, making it one of the weakest teams in the Super League at home.
Predicted chance of winning:
| Victory Lucerne |
Draw |
Victory Thun |
| 49.2% |
23.9% |
26.9% |
The selection “Draw at half-time” is also extremely interesting. From the point of view of the AI (and from mine as well), Lucerne is far too clearly favored by the online bookmakers and is unlikely to outplay the champions from the kick-off. The odds of 2.40 are therefore worth considering.
And the third selection of AI also has it all. Last season, Thun scored a total of 75 goals in 33 games in the league round – no team was better. “Thun over 1.5 goals” is therefore very good with an odd of about 2.05.

- In the last eight games, there has been no draw between Lucerne and Thun.
- Three of the last five duels have been won by the respective away team.
- In the last six matches, the bet “Both teams to score” would have been successful in each case.
- Lucerne have conceded exactly two goals in each of the last four games.
- Thun ended the first competitive game of the new season with a draw – 1-1 against Zagreb in the CL qualifiers.
