The first title is already here! Real Madrid start the new La Liga season after winning the Super Cup and are the hunted from the very first matchday. The Whites kick off their campaign with a trip.
Their opponents have been a popular fixture for years, but were notable for their major attacking problems in 2023/24. In my Mallorca Real Madrid tip, I’ll tell you why I’m expecting the champions to pick up their first three points and why I don’t think we’ll beat them by four goals

The Whites therefore know exactly how important it is to get off to a strong start. Last year, they won eight out of the first nine rounds, five times without conceding a goal
There are hardly any personnel problems, only Eduardo Camavinga is injured. Is it a good omen that RCD Mallorca have been drawn as the first opponent? Only a look at the direct comparison will help.
Two defeats from the last 16 matches is something to be proud of. But it’s not as if the Whites have always put their rivals in their place and scored goal after goal
The last two matches, for example, have all been 1-0, with the underdogs winning 1-0 before that. So three goals from three games – not exactly a prime example of a spectacle.

Mallorca are definitely one of the Whites’ favorite opponents. Last season, RCD were very harmless offensively and were also known for their many draws.
