Former youth international Peniel Mlapa has ended his career at the age of 35. The 1.95-metre-tall striker has made a total of 79 appearances in the Bundesliga (eight goals) and 130 games in the 2nd Bundesliga (26 goals) for 1860 Munich, TSG Hoffenheim, Borussia Mönchengladbach, 1. “Football has shown me the world,” the Togolese international thanked via Instagram; in the past eight years he has played outside Germany and most recently for one and a half years in Thailand.
