Michal Karbownik and Hertha BSC are parting ways after three years and 79 competitive games. The 25-year-old Pole, who joined from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2023, has decided against an extension of his contract, which expires in the summer. “We were in a transparent and open exchange with Miki about his sporting future – now he has made the decision to continue his career at another location,” sporting director Benjamin Weber is quoted as saying in a statement. Hertha had fought until the end for the all-rounder, with whom Widzew Lodz from his Polish homeland, among others, is to deal with.
