As expected, Patrick Vieira is the new coach of CFC Genoa. The Italian first division club presented the 48-year-old Frenchman on Wednesday as the successor to Alberto Gilardino, who was dismissed the previous evening. In his coaching career to date, the 1998 World Cup winner has managed New York City FC, OGC Nice, Crystal Palace and Racing Strasbourg and is now making his first appearance in Italy, where he played for Milan and Juventus.
