I have my eye on several different soccer bets this evening, all of which relate to the second round of Champions League qualifying.
My priority is a Red Bull Salzburg Brann Bergen tip. After their outstanding first-leg victory, the Mozart city team will be prone to the odd lapse in concentration!
Red Bull Salzburg has one foot in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
In their 4-1 first-leg win against Brann in Norway, the former Austrian champions impressed not only with their effectiveness but also with their efficiency: They scored four goals from an xG value of 2.32 – which speaks for their clinical finishing.

Against this backdrop, there should be little serious danger for Salzburg – the now deposed Austrian serial champions looked too solid, too well-rehearsed and too dominant in the first encounter.
Despite the comfortable 4-1 first-leg win against Brann Bergen, however, it is unlikely to be a particularly successful season for Red Bull Salzburg in the long run. This is because three key players left the club in July without adequate replacements being signed.
Defensive stalwart Samson Baidoo moved to Lens for €8 million, full-back Amar Dedić joined Benfica for €12 million, and midfield dynamo Nicolás Capaldo went to Hamburger SV for €3 million.
Salzburg took in a total of €23 million – an impressive sum, but these departures could have a noticeable impact on the team in the coming months if the gaps cannot be filled.

Conclusion: Red Bull Salzburg goes into the second leg with a clear advantage from the first leg and is therefore unlikely to play with full intensity. It is quite possible that coach Letsch will rest some of his regulars and the team will approach the game with the brakes on.
Unlike Salzburg, Brann Bergen already has a few league games under its belt and will not go down without a fight. Even if it is unrealistic for the Norwegians to advance, they could at least score a consolation goal.
A goal for Brann is therefore not out of the question – especially if Salzburg is in administrative mode and lets the game take its course.
