RB Salzburg – Brann Bergen Tip, Prediction & Odds 07/30/2025

Champions League, Qualification, 2nd Round, Second Leg, Wednesday, 07/30/2025, 8:45 p.m.

I have my eye on several different soccer bets this evening, all of which relate to the second round of Champions League qualifying.

My priority is a Red Bull Salzburg Brann Bergen tip. After their outstanding first-leg victory, the Mozart city team will be prone to the odd lapse in concentration!

Red Bull Salzburg has one foot in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

In their 4-1 first-leg win against Brann in Norway, the former Austrian champions impressed not only with their effectiveness but also with their efficiency: They scored four goals from an xG value of 2.32 – which speaks for their clinical finishing.

Even though Brann played courageously at home, Salzburg showed flashes of the class that has distinguished them for years. With a clear lead behind them, qualifying for the next round should be a mere formality in the second leg in Wals-Siezenheim.

Brann Bergen may have the advantage of already being in league action, but that alone will hardly be enough to make up for the clear 1-4 defeat in the first leg.

From a Norwegian perspective, a real miracle is not to be expected: Brann has never won an away game in the Champions League in its history. And the Norwegians have never successfully navigated the qualifying phase before.

Against this backdrop, there should be little serious danger for Salzburg – the now deposed Austrian serial champions looked too solid, too well-rehearsed and too dominant in the first encounter.

Despite the comfortable 4-1 first-leg win against Brann Bergen, however, it is unlikely to be a particularly successful season for Red Bull Salzburg in the long run. This is because three key players left the club in July without adequate replacements being signed.

Defensive stalwart Samson Baidoo moved to Lens for €8 million, full-back Amar Dedić joined Benfica for €12 million, and midfield dynamo Nicolás Capaldo went to Hamburger SV for €3 million.

Salzburg took in a total of €23 million – an impressive sum, but these departures could have a noticeable impact on the team in the coming months if the gaps cannot be filled.

By the way: Registering with Bwin is particularly worthwhile if you want to place a bet on Red Bull Salzburg vs. Brann Bergen.

For your own personal Red Bull Salzburg Brann Bergen tip, I think there are several interesting betting options with attractive value. The classic: “Both teams to score” at odds of around 1.62 at Winamax.

Both teams have decent offensive power – Salzburg certainly does, but Brann has also scored regularly in recent weeks and is good for an away goal.

If that’s not enough for you, you can bet on a high-scoring game: “Over 3.5 goals” is currently available at 2.02 – ideal if you expect an open game.

Salzburg in particular is known for playing offensively in qualifying and not getting caught up in defensive football.

Things get really exciting with the bet “1st goal: SK Brann” at odds of 3.05. That’s extremely high for an opening goal and could pay off if Salzburg needs some time to get going.

Three tips that complement each other perfectly and can be combined depending on your risk appetite.

Conclusion: Red Bull Salzburg goes into the second leg with a clear advantage from the first leg and is therefore unlikely to play with full intensity. It is quite possible that coach Letsch will rest some of his regulars and the team will approach the game with the brakes on.

Unlike Salzburg, Brann Bergen already has a few league games under its belt and will not go down without a fight. Even if it is unrealistic for the Norwegians to advance, they could at least score a consolation goal.

A goal for Brann is therefore not out of the question – especially if Salzburg is in administrative mode and lets the game take its course.

That’s why my RB Salzburg Brann Bergen tip is: Double chance X2 & Both teams to score.
