David Raum’s contract with RB Leipzig expires after this season. Initial talks about a contract extension were originally supposed to take place “after the World Cup”, but both sides showed no hurry. “There will certainly be an exchange with David and his agent,” said RB sporting director Marcel Schäfer. The goal is to convince the left-back to stay. “The ambition is there to extend with him, I have already emphasized that several times,” said Schäfer. Raum has been playing for RB since the summer of 2022 and has since made 112 Bundesliga appearances (6 goals, 26 assists).
