Rot-Weiss Essen have signed defender Gianluca Swajkowski to a professional contract until 2026. The 19-year-old has been playing for the RWE youth teams since 2019 and has already been part of the squad twice in the 3rd division. “With his performances in the U19s and his good training performances with the first team as well as his exemplary attitude, he has earned his first professional contract,” says Marcus Steegmann, Director of Professional Football at RWE.
