On Sunday afternoon, FC Schalke made official what had already been hinted at the day before: Kees van Wonderen is the new head coach of the Royal Blues. As the second division club confirmed, the 55-year-old Dutchman will receive a contract until 2026, succeeding Karel Geraerts, who was dismissed two weeks ago.
