Sevilla – Cadiz betting tip, prediction & odds 15.05.2024

La Liga, Wednesday, 15.05.2024

The relegation battle is picking up speed once again! Two clubs are already out of the Spanish La Liga, but FC Cadiz still have a small chance of avoiding relegation. To do so, however, the team must tackle its biggest weakness.

And that is: away games! On Wednesday, they travel to Andalusia again, i.e. away from home, with the unsurprising underdog role in their luggage. Read now in my Sevilla Cadiz betting tip why I’m backing the double chance 1X and why I’m adding under 3.5 goals due to the very weak visitors’ offense

Five points behind with three games left? No, it certainly won’t be easy for FC Cadiz to avoid relegation! The Andalusians are under enormous pressure ahead of the derby against Sevilla FC.

They then face Las Palmas and Almeria, who have long since been relegated. The rest of the program therefore shows that nine points are definitely possible. But can that really happen with only five wins to their name after 35 rounds?

14 draws and 16 defeats, and with 24 goals, the team has by far the worst offense in the league. The first four wins were followed immediately by a defeat.

Why could that be important? Quite simply because Cadiz won 1:0 against Getafe last weekend. That kept them in with a chance of staying in the league, but now they have to get the next three points

I’m not surprised that the four defeats I mentioned were always conceded without scoring a goal. As little danger as the attack exudes, these were not the only four games without a goal, quite the opposite.

A total of 17 times, i.e. in almost 50 percent of all games, no goals were scored. More than one goal? That was the case five times. Is it at least the case that Cadiz often lose narrowly or are they being filleted by their opponents?

Five times they lost by three goals, five times by exactly one, so there’s no trend here. The big problem (apart from the weak offense), I already mentioned it in my introduction.

Unfortunately, nothing works away from home; together with Granada FC, Cadiz is the only team that has yet to win! Six draws and eleven defeats, eight measly goals – given these statistics, staying in the league would be a minor miracle

13 of the 17 away games were scored with less than 2.5 goals, which is of course largely due to the few goals scored. In the first half of the season – perhaps this is encouraging – they drew 2-2 against Sevilla.

A 2-0 lead did not last, and they have now not won in eleven games. 0-1, 1-1, 0-3, 1-2, 0-0, 0-0, 0-1, 0-0? Recent performances at Sevilla FC’s stadium have been anything but spectacular

If our bookmakers have their way, it won’t be a three-pointer this time either, with Cadiz trailing at odds of 4.30 to 1.85. So if you want to secure the Oddset bonus, you could simply bet on tip 1 with this bookmaker.

I think a win for Sevilla FC is quite realistic, even though there is not much at stake for the Nervionenses. This season will end somewhere in mid-table, after all, they kept their place in the league at an early stage

Far too little compared to their own aspirations, but with ten wins, that’s as good as it gets. After four wins and a draw, this positive run recently came to an end again, with a 3:2 loss against Villarreal.

As they have not lost twice in a row since January, there is definitely hope that there will be points on Wednesday. Given the fact that only one of their last six home games has ended in defeat, their own stadium is certainly an advantage

More: For the first time ever, it may be possible to win three matches in a row at home. Only three home games in the entire season, which is very interesting for my betting tip, exceeded the 3.5 goals, but 14 did not.

For FC Cadiz, it could be lights out on Wednesday, but the team is still determined not to give up their last chance to avoid relegation. The trip takes them to Sevilla FC, where, as we all know, not everything works out.

Although the Blanquirrojos look relatively confident in their own stadium, they are not immune to further defeats. As there is not much at stake in purely sporting terms, I would advise against betting on a win.

However, Cadiz are so harmless that I don’t think much will happen here, even in combination with the direct comparison. For these reasons, I have opted for the following tip:

Sevilla to score a maximum of three goals!
