Switzerland – Estonia betting tip, prediction & odds 04.06.2024

EM test match, Tuesday, 04.06.2024

Is the Swiss national team one of the secret favorites for Euro 2024? The Swiss national team sometimes doesn’t know for sure whether it is among the world’s best or just a little bit ahead.

The Swiss will play a test match on Tuesday, so there’s not much time left before the start of the tournament. The bookmakers’ opinion: there can only be one win. In my Switzerland Estonia betting tip, however, I’ll tell you why the favorites aren’t in top form and why I’m keeping an eye on the “Under 3.5 goals” bet

Switzerland is number 19 in the world – it could definitely be worse! Shortly before the start of the European Championship, all the participants are once again testing which players will soon be in their starting line-ups.

Naturally, this includes the Swiss, who have by no means performed badly at recent tournaments, especially the 2021 European Championship. Three years ago, they defeated the French, while Switzerland narrowly lost to Spain in the quarter-finals

The entire competition knows what this team can do, what stars they have in their squad. However, things haven’t really been running smoothly for a year now, as was already evident in the European Championship qualifiers.

They finished second against Israel, Belarus, Kosovo, Andorra and Romania, winning only four out of ten games. Particularly critical: of the last seven games, only one ended victoriously

Switzerland may have only lost once, but the constant draws cost them far too many points. They finished in second place and booked their ticket for Germany without any glitz and glamor.

Are things going a little better in the European Championship year? I can’t really answer this question with a “yes”. There was very little on offer in the 0-0 draw in Denmark, and the Swiss were almost pale in attack

A little later against Ireland, at least one shot was on target and they won 1:0. Fittingly: The goal was scored by Xherdan Shaqiri from a free-kick, as very little was possible from play.

Of course, the Swiss themselves know that they will have to improve considerably before the start of the tournament. Estonia are of course not an opponent on an equal footing, so there will be no real assessment on Tuesday either

2015 was the last time they faced Estonia, with a total of four encounters in European Championship and World Cup qualifiers. The direct comparison is therefore not meaningful, even though the national team has won all four games to zero.

Won is a good keyword, because all our European Championship providers are also of the opinion that win number five is now on the cards. The odds average 1.15 to 18.0, so the lead couldn’t be clearer

The Estonian national team is one of the little ones in soccer that still exist. It is 113th in the world rankings, and yet it came within a whisker of qualifying for the European Championship.

And this despite the fact that qualifying was a real disaster. They scored just a single point against Austria, Belgium, Azerbaijan and Sweden, and scored a measly two goals

But why did they still have a chance at the European Championship? Quite simply because Estonia performed well in Nations League D and paved their way into the play-offs – with very little success.

The two test matches in 2024 had resulted in very narrow defeats, with both Finland and Sweden losing 2-1. Then the match in the play-offs against Poland was on the agenda

The Estonians were completely overwhelmed, lost 1:5 and had to bury their dream of the European Championship. At least they scored in all three games played this year.

The Swiss national team wants to slowly get into exactly the form it needs to go far at Euro 2024 and reach at least the round of 16.

There have been many draws in recent months and the only goal of 2024 was scored from a direct free-kick. Will the offense also struggle against Estonia? The Estonians themselves are frighteningly harmless in attack anyway.

All in all, these are two teams that I don’t expect to score a huge number of goals on Tuesday. And that’s exactly why I’ve decided on the following tip:

The 3.5 goals will not be scored!
