Shanghai participants: Seedings & favorites with betting odds
All the top stars of the tennis world are on the list of Shanghai Masters participants.
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner – numbers 1 and 2 in the world rankings – are there, as is Shanghai record winner Novak Djokovic.
When Sinner – the defending champion, by the way – and Alcaraz take to the court, it’s clear who will be calling the shots at the 2025 Shanghai Masters.
The two exceptional players have shared all four Grand Slam tournaments between them this season (Sinner won the Australian Open and Wimbledon, Alcaraz won in Paris and the US Open). Sinner and Alcaraz faced each other in the final of the last three Grand Slams.
Who else is among the Shanghai Masters favorites besides the top duo?
If you take the world rankings into account for your Shanghai Masters prediction, then Alexander Zverev, ranked third in the world, is also a title contender. However, things have not gone perfectly for Germany’s number one in recent weeks and months.
For the best sports betting providers, Novak Djokovic is one of the favorites to win the title. The veteran was in the semifinals of all four Grand Slam tournaments this year. Most recently, however, he was clearly defeated by Alcaraz at the US Open. Djoker has already won four times in Shanghai – will he manage a fifth triumph?
According to the Shanghai Masters seedings, the extended circle of title favorites also includes the two Americans Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton (numbers 5 and 6) as well as the Australian Alex de Minaur, who is number 7 in the ATP rankings.
Lorenzo Musetti (ITA) could also be in the Shanghai Masters schedule for a little longer. Russia’s Karen Khachanov has recently played his way into the top 10, which means he is also likely to be among the favorites.
Higher tournament winner odds in the bookmakers’ sports betting apps before the start of the tournament are offered, for example, on Holger Rune (DEN) and Caspar Ruud (NOR), who
