A currywurst without the golden curry powder? That’s what a Golden State Warriors game without Stephen Curry must feel like at the moment.
And unfortunately, we’ll probably have to get used to it in the NBA playoffs, because the three-point wizard will probably be missing in Game 2 as well.
My Timberwolves Warriors prediction for the second game of this incredible series? It will once again be a match dominated by the respective defenses – and both teams may fail again in their attempt to score triple-digit points.
The NBA playoffs are entering the second round and the duel between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves promises plenty of excitement – even if Game 1 was more of a defensive classic.
The Warriors won 99:88 despite losing their superstar Stephen Curry after just 13 minutes due to a thigh injury.
Now it’s Game 2 and the question is: Will it be another physical, offensively tough game or can the Timberwolves step up? Indications are that we can expect another low-scoring affair.

His coach Chris Finch publicly criticized his lack of energy – and if Edwards doesn’t get up to speed in Game 2 either, it will be difficult for the Wolves to match up against the aggressive Warriors defense.
The Warriors completely flustered Minnesota in Game 1 with their zone and physical play.
Their output? They forced 16 turnovers, dominated the rebounds and never really let the Wolves get into a rhythm. If that continues, Game 2 will not be a high-scoring spectacle either.
All in all, there are many indications that Game 2 will be similar to the first game: hard-fought, defensive-oriented and with comparatively few points.
The Warriors have shown they can win without Curry, while the Timberwolves are still looking for the right answers.
If Edwards doesn’t explode and the Warriors continue to play disciplined defense, it will be a tough duel rather than offensive fireworks.
As for potential Minnesota Timberwolves Golden State Warriors bets, it’s clear that my focus is on low basket count scenarios.
MIN under 102.5 points at odds of around 2.35 seems to me to be a first-class offer, considering how difficult it was for the team to score consistently in Game 1.
